I like what you said too, That makes sense! We do tend to get caught up with offering explanations when so much of our work is in the public eye. Especially when your life is. It is difficult. But you must allow yourself breaks too, and rest your heart easy. You should not have to explain. Your readers know who you are, and if they do not - that is okay too. Because you are trying, and working really hard. You cannot let your conscience put you under the microscope too! You gotta do what you gotta do. (The rains have made me ramble-ish!)

So glad that you had a lovely birthday... Turning older is better than you realise when you are younger (This used to be the case with me). I mean, corny as the adage is - Age is but a number. Like seriously! Yeah, it would have been great for me had I the same mind at 21 or 22. It would mean I had a good 8-9 years before turning 30. But perhaps I could not speed that up, getting to a level of understanding or just anything that I have now. I do not have a lot, and I do not know all that there is know - even so, it is like something inside of my brain feels better. There is more to figure out, less to care about. And in a sense, that keeps me going. I hope your 25th year brings you more, and makes you look forward to every birthday just as much! Love, and only love. And kitteh purrs!

I really enjoyed reading this post, Em! - And I can totally relate to all of this, *I did a little soul searching & realised that I’m terrified of being perceived as lazy – sure, in real life I may be kind of a slacker & a slob but I take pride in my work. Taking down time always made me feel guilty & I found myself constantly justifying why I needed to take a break & feeling pangs of guilt after.

As a creative (at least I like to think that I am), I can only create good work when I’m really into it. When I’m brainstorming, when I’m enjoying what I’m doing. It’s not the kind of work I can just go through the motions with. So my new mantra is balance – work hard but take time to just do nothing. The aim is to be regular with blog posts, videos as well as all the other backend work (communications, paperwork), to have me time, a social life & more! And it seems even more unattainable when I write it all down. And I’m self-employed, I’m supposed to have it easy, right? I guess the biggest lesson from this is – it’s ok to feel overwhelmed. I may not always have it together. But everyday is a learning experience.*
